This policy lists items, services, and activity that may not be listed, bought, sold, promoted, or facilitated through Seconds. This list is not exhaustive. Seconds may remove any Listing or restrict any account that creates legal, safety, fraud, payment, privacy, tax, or platform-integrity risk.
1. Illegal, stolen, or unauthorized items
You may not list or sell:
- items that are illegal to own, buy, sell, ship, import, export, or transfer;
- stolen property or items you do not have the right to sell;
- counterfeit goods, replicas marketed as authentic, pirated goods, or unauthorized copies;
- items that infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;
- items connected to sanctioned persons, entities, territories, or prohibited trade.
2. Weapons and dangerous items
You may not list or sell:
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, or firearm parts;
- restricted weapons, switchblades, disguised weapons, or weapon accessories where prohibited;
- instructions, parts, files, kits, or tools primarily designed to make weapons or evade weapon controls;
- fireworks, explosives, or pyrotechnics where restricted.
Seconds may restrict additional knives, sporting weapons, defense sprays, or tactical items depending on law and payment-processor rules.
3. Drugs, controlled substances, and paraphernalia
You may not list or sell:
- illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- prescription drugs or regulated medication;
- cannabis, cannabis products, or cannabis accessories where restricted;
- tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, or related accessories where restricted;
- drug paraphernalia or items primarily designed for unlawful use.
4. Regulated goods
You may not list or sell regulated goods unless all legal requirements are met and Seconds expressly allows the category. Restricted categories may include:
- alcohol;
- food, supplements, cosmetics, or health products;
- medical devices or medical equipment;
- pesticides, chemicals, fuels, or hazardous materials;
- vehicles, vehicle parts, license plates, or regulated transportation items;
- event tickets, transit passes, coupons, or access credentials;
- age-restricted goods.
5. Unsafe, recalled, or defective products
You may not list or sell:
- recalled products;
- products subject to safety warnings that prohibit resale;
- hazardous materials;
- expired, contaminated, tampered, or unsafe goods;
- products with undisclosed defects that could create safety risk;
- child or baby products that fail applicable safety standards.
If you learn that an item is recalled or unsafe, remove the Listing immediately and notify any affected Buyer.
6. Financial products and stored value
You may not list or sell:
- currency, securities, financial instruments, loans, credit products, insurance, or investments;
- cryptocurrency, tokens, wallets, mining contracts, or related financial arrangements;
- gift cards, prepaid cards, stored-value cards, vouchers, or account balances where restricted;
- bank accounts, payment accounts, identity documents, credit reports, or tax documents.
7. Personal data, identity, and access
You may not list or sell:
- personal information, contact lists, login credentials, passwords, accounts, or identity documents;
- government IDs, licenses, passports, permits, or credentials;
- software, devices, or services designed to steal data, bypass security, spam, stalk, surveil, or gain unauthorized access.
8. Adult, exploitative, or harmful content
You may not list, sell, or promote:
- sexual services, escort services, or sexually exploitative content;
- content involving minors in a sexual, exploitative, or unsafe context;
- hate, harassment, threats, or extremist material;
- human trafficking, labor exploitation, or illegal services;
- gambling, betting, raffles, or games of chance where restricted.
9. Animals and wildlife
You may not list or sell animals, wildlife, endangered species, regulated animal parts, ivory, protected plants, or related products unless Seconds expressly allows the category and the sale is fully lawful.
10. Services and professional activity
Seconds is primarily for second-hand goods. Services may be restricted or removed, especially when they require licensing, create safety risk, involve regulated activity, or cannot be verified.
You may not use Seconds to offer unlawful, deceptive, exploitative, or unlicensed services.
11. Off-platform scams and fee avoidance
You may not use Seconds to:
- redirect Users to scams, phishing, malware, or deceptive payment pages;
- request payment methods designed to avoid protections, fees, verification, or records;
- sell outside Seconds to evade enforcement after a dispute or policy warning;
- launder funds or process payments unrelated to a genuine Listing.
12. Enforcement
Seconds may remove Listings, limit visibility, restrict payment access, hold payouts, suspend or terminate accounts, report activity, or take other action if we believe a Listing or User violates this policy.
Repeated or serious violations may result in a permanent ban and loss of access to payment features.
